General Requirements:

  • CNO license in good standing
  • CPR certification (BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, CTAS preferred)
  • A Diploma/Certificate from an accredited school
  • Training in Gentle Persuasive Approach or non-violent crisis intervention training (GPA/CPI)
  • Vaccination record up-to-date
  • A valid mask-fit test preferred
  • A clear vulnerable sector screen
  • Long-term care, acute-care, community, public health experience
  • Minimum 1 year experience

Travel RNs 

Nurse Angeli Inc. is currently hiring for Travel Nurses to beautiful Nova Scotia in the following departments:

1.) Emergency & ICU Registered Nurses who have at least 2-years of working experience

2.) Telemetry & Medical-Surgical Registered Nurses who have at least 1 year working experience

Qualifications

  • Must have graduated of an accredited School of Nursing
  • Registration with the College of Nursing in the jurisdiction of need
  • Basic Life Support- Level C Certification (ie. HCP, BLS)
  • For ER & ICU nurses: Must have ACLS, BLS, TNCC, CTAS, PALS certificate
  • Incorporated/sole proprietorship preferred 

Requirements 

  • Able to read, write, speak fluent English
  • A valid Nova Scotia RN, LPN license (must be registered or willing to register with NSCN at time of application)
  • Must have a clear criminal record and vulnerable sector screening check within the last year
  • Vaccine immunization, flu vaccine and covid-19 vaccines up-to-date

Responsibilities

  • overall coordination and direction of nursing care
  • provides clinical leadership particularly in complex or unpredictable patient/client care settings
  • has the knowledge, skill and judgment needed to provide competent, evidence-based nursing practice
  • works with other disciplines to coordinate care to achieve patient/family outcomes
  • contributes to the efficient and effective functioning of the service/unit and coordination of patient care
  • complies with documentation processes at specified work sites
  • responsible for communicating with the nurse in charge and allied health care in regards to safe 
  • meet organizational practice requirements
  • maintain good communications and rapport with all members of the care team and public
  • maintain privacy and confidentiality
  • complete all required documentation by the end of shift
  • have knowledge of all emergency codes
  • participate (as applicable) in emergency response teams
  • carry out duties and responsibilities in a highly professional manner
  • continue evaluation and identification of needs required via self audit
  • have knowledge of policies and practices required for their roles and skills required to meet organizational practice requirements, including but not limited to the following competencies
  • able to communicate all questions, concerns and compliments to Nurse Angeli Inc. as needed and when applicable
